Proven marketing lessons from the UK & USA glamping markets… and how European operators can thrive amid global uncertainty.

“How do I stay visible, booked, and profitable when the world around travel feels uncertain?”

“How can my business weather fluctuating demand without defaulting to discounting or price-led marketing?”

In this practical, insight-rich session, Sarah Riley shares proven lessons from the UK and USA – two of the most mature and competitive glamping markets globally. Operators in these regions have already navigated:

  • Economic downturns
  • Regional oversupply
  • Experience-driven and increasingly educated guests
  • Rapid shifts from cash to digital and app-based engagement

This session reframes marketing as a strategic system designed for business stability, not short-term tactics. The emphasis is on building brands that can adapt to whatever global travel trends deliver next.

Attendees will learn:

  • What truly drives visibility and bookings when guests are hesitant
  • How successful glamping brands stand out without discounting
  • Where to focus time, budget and partnerships for maximum return
  • How AI can be used to strengthen guest attraction and direct bookings
  • How to align product types with the right messaging to protect margins
  • How to create a marketing approach that supports long-term resilience

If you want stronger demand, protected profits and a business built to cope with unpredictable global travel trends, this session will provide the confidence and clarity to move forward using what has been proven to work in this industry.

About Mira Buss
Mira Buss, based in Lisbon for 5 years, is a German ecosystem and community builder working at the intersection of sustainable tourism, regenerative real estate, and innovative investment models.
As Ambassador and Project Manager for Inguestor, a venture by MaxMark LDA, she helps shape the development of Sankofa, one of the first partly tokenized nature-resorts in Portugal.
Her journey began with a personal dream: living closer to nature and creating places where people can reconnect with land, community, and purpose. What started as curiosity about a new model of “invest where you stay” (Inguestor) quickly turned into active involvement in building Sankofa’s vision—combining sustainable hospitality, responsible land stewardship, and community-driven ownership.
At the intersection of strategy, community building, and project development, together with partner Mark Schmiedel (MaxMark LDA) and Christian Buus Nielsen (Sankofa), Mira works on topics ranging from permitting and development supervision to investor relations and community engagement. Their work explores how nature resorts can become living ecosystems where tourism, local integration, and regenerative investment models reinforce each other.
