Shari is Founder & President of Sage Outdoor Advisory – the leading expert in outdoor hospitality consulting and appraisal in the Americas. Ms. Heilala and her team have completed over 350 feasibility studies and appraisals in the outdoor hospitality sector. Her firm has developed the largest proprietary database of glamping businesses to provide data driven analysis to support expert guided investment decisions in the industry.
Lars is Managing Partner of Glamping Advisors, helping clients to conceptualise, plan, create and grow their glamping businesses. His project work is centred in Portugal and Germany; work in other countries is carried out via cooperation.
Lars has worked in tourism for over two decades – for TUI Group, and as a consultant. As outdoor experiences have always made an impression in life, focusing on glamping during his professional life happened naturally. A combination of emotions, data and experience convinced him to be involved in the hospitality segment with the greatest future, fun, fat margins and friendly customers. Solo female ‘glamptrepreneur’ Kerry Roy founded her first multi award-winning glamping site in the UK, Camp Katur, in 2012. She has since diversified into many different areas, including festivals, weddings and wellness retreats – whilst establishing a second successful award-winning glamping retreat, Cerchio Del Desiderio in Italy in 2019.

Mareile Paley is an entrepreneur and retreat host with over 15 years’ experience developing and leading successful wellness retreats internationally. She is the founder of Life in Movement, a well-established retreat and education brand known for its highly successful Pilates teacher training retreats, attracting a global community of practitioners and professionals.
Now based in Portugal, Mareile is the founder of CALM Portugal, an upcoming, first-of-its-kind regenerative wellness retreat hotel focused on Pilates, located 30 minutes south of Lisbon.
