Following the fantastic response to its inaugural European Forum in Lisbon earlier this year, the team behind The Glamping Show is delighted to announce that the event will return on 26 November 2026 at Basecamp Amsterdam.

For this Amsterdam edition, The Glamping Show will be working closely with leading glamping and leisure expert Richard Otten and Pleisureworld to promote the Forum throughout the Netherlands and the wider Benelux outdoor hospitality community.

Richard has extensive experience within the European leisure, recreation and glamping sectors and is well known for sharing practical insights into emerging trends, changing guest expectations and the development of commercially successful hospitality businesses. Through Pleisureworld and Glampingexpert.nl, he works with a broad network of operators, developers and hospitality partners.

As part of the collaboration, Richard will extend a special invitation to his followers and professional network to join the European Forum in Amsterdam. He will also speak during the event, sharing his perspective on the opportunities, challenges and developments shaping the future of glamping and outdoor hospitality.

The Forum will bring together some of the most interesting and experienced voices in the European sector for a day centred around the questions that matter most to operators:

What is working? What is not? Where is the market heading? Where should businesses be investing – and what should they think twice about?

Visitors can expect practical insight, honest conversations and opportunities to ask questions directly of people who have built, operated, advised and grown businesses within the sector.

The developing speaker line-up includes Kerry Roy, Sarah Riley, Richard and Alette Bastiaansen, with further speakers and sessions still to be announced.

However, the European Forum is about much more than the programme on stage. One of the highlights of the inaugural Lisbon event was seeing new conversations, introductions and professional relationships developing throughout the day.

The Amsterdam Forum will create even more opportunities for operators, suppliers, advisers and hospitality partners to meet, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.

Richard Otten said: “I am delighted to be working with The Glamping Show to bring the European Forum to Amsterdam. The glamping and outdoor hospitality market is developing rapidly, and operators need access to practical knowledge, fresh ideas and the right professional connections.

“This Forum will provide an excellent opportunity for our community to learn from one another and discuss where the sector is heading next.”

For anyone seeking ideas, answers, connections and practical solutions to move a glamping or outdoor hospitality business forward, The Glamping Show European Forum promises to be an invaluable day.
