Max is currently appearing in a new series for ITV1 called ‘£10k Holiday Home’ with Julia Bradbury. Throughout the series Max will create his own transportable holiday home on a budget of £5k and will help Julia create her holiday home within a £10k budget. His other credits include ‘How To Live Mortgage Free’ an eight part series on C4, two series of ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces’, ‘Fill Your House For Free’ and two series of Channel 4’s summer hit ‘Shed of the Year’. Max has also fronted a special for ‘George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces’ which followed his journey selling his house and building a floating home from a 40ft shipping container. The show was the highest rating episode across the series.
Max is a Product Design and Visualisation graduate. He initially worked as a car designer in Cologne, Germany. However, after a couple of years Max decided that he really wanted to design, engineer and manufacture his own creations and he established his business reestore ltd, with the aim to design and create a range of up-cycled furniture and accessories from objects destined for landfill. Max was keen to show that eco-friendly products do not have to be made from mud and hemp, they can be contemporary, stylish and desirable.
By 2007 reestore had won several design awards and featured in many galleries and exhibitions and Max gave a successful pitch to Dragon Den, gaining investment from Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis. With their input reestore grew one of the UK’s most respected and renowned designers and manufacturers of up-cycled products with a client list that includes The Body Shop and Google’s Head Office. He has won gold at the Chelsea Flower show with Kate Gould Gardens.
