Glisten’s new service supports landowners wanting to benefit from and capitalise on the glamping boom!
Simon Thomason, who founded Glisten Camping in 2014, has bought together a team of experts to launch ‘Glisten – Your Camping de Luxe’. The team is offering support to businesses through two options: a franchise model that follows the success of Glisten Camping, or through consultancy.
Simon has over 20 years experience of supporting high-end holiday destinations including the Radisson SAS & Hilton chains, Watergate Bay Hotel and the St Moritz Hotel. He said: “Since we launched Glisten in 2014 we have seen a real appetite and demand for high-end accommodation experiences that are close to nature. The market has become much more sophisticated and competitive and is beginning to mirror the growth we saw in boutique hotels. There is a real opportunity for landowners, campsites, resorts, farmers and estate owners to make the most of under utilised land to generate an attractive return on investment.”
Supporting the ‘Glisten – Your Camping de Luxe’ offer is: landscape architects, Mei Loci, Kast Architects; finance experts, Tim and Toby Jones and interior design team, Hart & Miller. The team will offer a range of services from finding the right location, funding the development, design, purchasing & installation of the accommodation through to sales and marketing, which will allow businesses to launch individual glamping experiences to guests across Europe.
Simon added: “During the last four seasons the Glisten team has refined and tested our offering in France using feedback from clients, as well as our experiences. We now believe we have a tried and tested model that can work successfully through franchising and consultation support. Our message is simple – we help businesses to get there quicker, save money on set-up costs and generate a great return on investment.”
